Bonnaroo rolled out its 2013 lineup during a special one-hour live webcast hosted by “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Paul McCartney, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Mumford and Sons top this year’s bill, appearing alongside BjÃ¶rk, Wilco, David Byrne and St. Vincent, The National, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, R. Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, The xx, Passion Pit, Animal Collective, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Grizzly Bear, Cat Power, Beach House, Local Natives, Tame Impala, Alt-J, Dirty Projectors, Swans, Baroness, Japandroids, Death Grips, Earl Sweatshirt, Killer Mike, Father John Misty, Purity Ring, The Tallest Man on Earth, Divine Fits, ASAP Rocky, Big K.R.I.T., Action Bronson, Four Tet, Wild Nothing, DIIV, HAIM, Cults, Charli XCX, and Matthew E. White.
Also playing are Billy Idol, ZZ Top, Gov’t Mule, John McLaughlin and the 4th Dimension, Dwight Yoakam, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men, Portgual. What’s more, Jim James will host a special “Soul Superjam” featuring John Oates and members of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and The Office’s Ed Helms will host a “Bluegrass Situation Superjam”.
Plus, “Weird Al” Yankovic and Daniel Tosh top the festival’s as-yet-announced comedy lineup.
Bonnaroo 2013 takes place June 13-16 in Manchester, Tennessee. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, February 23th at Noon EST via the festival’s website.
