Eminem to release new album in 2013
Guess who’s back? Billboard reports that Eminem is “far into the process” of recording his eighth, as-yet untitled studio album. The album will serve as the followup to 2010′s Recovery.
“We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013,” Shady Records president Paul Rosenberg tells Billboard. “He’s been working on it for some time. It’s safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we’re not exactly sure when. We’ve got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we’re trying to see what else lines up.”
Along with European dates, U.S. tour dates are also in the works for Eminem, however nothing has been officially announced.
Eminem plans on releasing more albums in 2013 from his labelmates Yelawolf and 50 Cent. 50 Cent’s eternally-delayed studio LP Street King Immortal is slated for the first-half of 2013, while Yelawolf’s followup to 2011′s Radioactive is also expected to see a release in 2013.
