OK, rock stars, y’all really need to take better care of yourselves.
After Morrissey and OFF!, pop deity Lady Gaga is the latest act to postpone tour dates due to health issues. The announcement affects the Wednesday-Thursday (02/13, 02/14) doubleheader in Chicago, Saturday (02/16) in Detroit, and Sunday (02/17) in Hamilton, ON. Gaga’s next scheduled performance takes place February 19th in Philadelphia.
In a heartfelt message on her website (via the Chicago Tribune), the Queen Monster revealed she has being suffering from an
unspecified injury for some time:
“I am completely devastated and heartsick. I’ve been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night’s performance I could not walk. To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now.”
Update: According to Reuters, Gaga is suffering from severe joint inflammation.
Each show will be rescheduled and fans are advised to retain their tickets, though refunds are available at point of purchase. Check out the updated itinerary below.
