According to the Associated Press, rapper French Montana’s tour bus came under fire in Philadelphia late last night, killing one and injuring another.
The incident took place as the bus arrived back at a Penn’s Landing hotel following the rapper’s show at the Theatre of Living Arts. According to police, a “large crowd of fans” surrounded the bus, at which point a car pulled up and open fire.
Two men were shot, including a 27-year-old who was later pronounced dead at a hospital. However, neither victim was a member of French Montana’s entourage. In fact, police do not believe the rapper or his entourage was the target of the attack.
Last month, French Montana’s Maybach Music boss, Rick Ross, was the target of a drive-by shooting in Florida. Police have yet to identify or arrest the gunmen involved in that incident.
