Following a slight delay, Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah will release his 10th studio album, Twelve Reasons To Die, on April 16th via his brethren RZA’s Soul Temple Records. The concept album, according to a press release, tells a “brutal tale of gangsters, betrayal and one vengeful soul hunting the 12 most powerful crime lords in the world”. The cinematic narrative now receives an equally theatrical single in “The Sure Shot (Parts 1 and 2)”.

In part one, album producer Adrian Younge (who famously composed the Black Dynamite film score) lays down a beat of buzzing drums and menacing strings, which Ghost responds to with a lyrical barrage. But when part two melts into a haze of psychedelic sitar, Ghost forgoes speed for an acerbic tone and venomous intent. Stream and/or download it below.

For more from the album, be sure to check out the lead single, the shimmery “The Rise of the Ghostface Killah”. The album will be accompanied by a six-issue comic book series, Ghost’s first such venture since 2009’s Cell Block Z.

Ghost and Younge will also tour in support of the LP starting in late March. Consult the full schedule below.
