The surviving members of TLC – Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chili” Thomas — have announced plans to reunite at this summer’s Mixtape Festival. It will mark the group’s first performance in four years, following a one-off reunion concert in Japan back in 2009.
In an interview with Essence earlier this year, T-Boz and Chili announced plans for a full-scale reunion tour for this summer, and even hinted at the possibility of new music in support of a forthcoming biopic to be aired on VH1 later this year. According to a report from TMZ last year, the pair intend to appear on stage alongside the group’s third member, the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, “projecting her image on a big screen and working her vocals into the live performances.”
The Mixtape Festival takes place July 26th – 27th in Hersheypark, PA. The lineup also features New Kids on the Block, Train, Jonas Brothers, Hanson, Boyz II Men, and more.
