R.I.P. Andy Johns, producer for Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones

According to Billboard, acclaimed producer and engineer Andy Johns died last week. He was 61.

The UK native worked with The Rolling Stones on Exile on Main Street, Sticky Fingers, and It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll, and also contributed to each Led Zeppelin album beginning with II through Physical Graffiti. His resume also included sessions with Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Rod Stewart, and Joni Mitchell.

Johns was the uncle of producer Ethan Johns.
