UK post-punk outfit Savages has dropped an expressive short film for their gutsy new track, “Shut Up”. Directed by Giorgio Testi and presented by Digital Daze, the five-minute clip focuses on a shadowy-yet-ballsy performance prefaced with an existential narrative by singer Jehnny Beth.
“We live in an age of many stimulations. If you’re focused, you’re harder to reach. If you’re distracted, you’re available,” she intones, adding: “Perhaps having deconstructed everything, we should be thinking about putting everything back together.”
It should be noted that the track opens their debut full-length, Silence Yourself, which is set to hit stores on May 7th via Matador Records/Pop Noire.
