The pride and joy of Boston, MA, Dropkick Murphys, have already raise upwards of $100,00 for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings through the sale of a special t-shirt. Now, they’ve recruited the pride and joy of Asbury Park, NJ, Mr. Bruce Springsteen, for a revamped version of their song “Rose Tattoo”.
The collaboration’s available on a new three-song EP from Dropkick, backed by live acoustic versions of “Don’t Tear Us Apart” and “Jimmy Collins’s Wake”, which the band recorded in Las Vegas just four days after the April 15th terrorist attack.
Purchase your copy through iTunes. All proceeds will go to bombing victims through the Dropkick’s Claddagh Fund, a registered non-profit the band established to “serve the most vulnerable in our communities.”
