Chief Keef’s legal troubles continue following his arrest for speeding earlier today. According to The Chicago Tribune, the 17-year-old rapper (born Keith Cozart) was clocked going 110 in a 55 mph zone on the Edens Expressway in Northfield, Illinois. He was also cited for having too many passengers in his vehicle (Cozart currently has a learner’s permit, which allows for just one passenger.)
Cozart is scheduled to appear at the Skokie, Illinois Courthouse on June 17th.
Eight days ago, Cozart was arrested in Atlanta and charged with disorderly conduct after he was found in possession of marijuana. He also remains on probation in Illinois stemming from an incident in 2011 in which he pulled a gun on a police officer. Earlier this year, he was sentenced to 60 days in prison for violating his probation after he was filmed firing at a gun range in a promotional interview. During his sentencing hearing in January, Cozart told the judge, “I beg you please. Give me one more chance to show you… I am a very good hearted person. I have not picked up any more cases… That’s not my life anymore.”
