Update #2: Radio.com is now reporting that 2 Chainz was, in fact, the victim of the robbery, according to San Francisco police spokesman Dennis Toomer. However, over on Twitter, 2 Chainz seems to be denying the incident outright.
Update: According to Radio.com, a member of 2 Chainz’s entourage, and not the rapper himself, was the victim of armed robbery. 2 Chainz was present during the incident when the suspect opened fire. “While most of the group scattered, one member of the entourage reportedly fell to the ground and was approached by the suspect, ‘who robbed him of an unknown item and fled the scene,'” police told Radio.com
According to TMZ, rapper Tauheed Epps, a.k.a. 2 Chainz, was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco Sunday afternoon. Police responded to the scene after reports of gunfire, though Epps was uninjured. In fact, he actually performed as scheduled at the KMEL Summer Jam later in the evening.
Fuse Senior Writer Jason Newman reports that Epps was robbed of his wallet, credit cards, and cell phone. Police are still searching for a suspect; however, TMZ adds that Epps and his entourage have been uncooperative.
