Mark Fisher, legendary stage designer and architect for The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, U2, and many others, has died at the age of 66. According to Rolling Stone, Fisher died yesterday in London following a long battle with an undisclosed illness.
Fisher designed stage productions for Pink Floyd’s The Wall, U2’s 360 Tour, and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Ball, as well as every Rolling Stones tour since 1989. He also designed the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino and 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
