In recent days, mysterious graffiti has appeared in cities across the world, featuring a diamond within a circle and the word “Reflektor.” At least two different streets artists responsible for creating the graffiti have claimed it’s part of a campaign for Arcade Fire, and Reflektor is presumably the title of the band’s upcoming fourth LP.
Adding fuel to the fire, an Instagram account called Reflektor has been compiling various images of the graffiti that have popped up online. It’s also shared a video of an artist writing out the word “Reflektor” soundtracked by music reminiscent of Arcade Fire. The video was also apparently played prior to sets at Lollapalooza and Osheaga this weekend.
Furthermore, TheReflektors.com has been launched and features the same video posted on Instragram.
As previously reported, the album will be released on October 29th. It was recorded in multiple locations over the last year, including at New York’s DFA Studios alongside former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy.
