In the days immediately following the release of his latest album, Jay Z sat down with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe for an extensive conversation, which touched on the rapper’s career, his thoughts on the industry, and even his family life. It was one of the better interviews in recent memory, at least Kanye West seems to think so, as he’s now followed Hov’s lead and sat down with Lowe. Kanye interviews are a rarity these days, especially ones not in the form of a fluff piece for his future mother-in-law. But come next week, Lowe will air his conversation with West over the course of four days (Monday – Thursday) beginning at 7pm BST (that’s 2pm EST).
Below, watch a portion of Lowe’s interview with Jay Z, along with a classic Kanye interview from November 2010.
