Trent Reznor had planned on pulling double duty with Nine Inch Nails and How to Destroy Angels at this year’s Mountain Oasis and Voodoo Experience music festivals. But now, How to Destroy Angels have dropped out of both festivals citing “unforeseen production conflicts.”
HTDA’s singer Mariqueen Maandig, who’s also Reznor’s wife, made the announcement on Twitter. She added, “Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience, we tried everything to make it work. We will be back.” Neither festival has yet to comment on a potential replacement act for HTDA.
The pair of festival appearances were HTDA’s only confirmed dates following a spring tour in support of their debut album, Welcome oblivion. Recently, the band has taken a backseat to Nine Inch Nails, who are set to kick off their world tour in support of Hesitation Marks later this month.
