After a brief delay, Drake is finally set to embark on his “Would You Like a Tour?” later this week in Pittsburgh. However, he won’t be joined by Future, who was unceremoniously sacked as tour opener last week.

According to The New York Post, Drake was angered by comments Future made in an interview with Billboard. Discussing Drake’s new album, Nothing Was the Same, Future said, “Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do.”

Though Future claims his comments were made off the record and never printed by Billboard, the Post adds that Drake still got wind of them and ordered his managers to fire Future from the tour. As late as last week, the two sides were still in negotiations, with representatives for Drake demanding Future make financial concessions. Future, who was set to earn $40,000 for each performance, is now set to file a lawsuit against Drake for lost wages, or about $1.5 million.

Drake’s “Would You Like a Tour?” stretches through mid-December and features Miguel in support.
