Although they’re still building up their rep outside of their Australian homeland, World’s End Press have been making loads of connections touring the Outback with some pretty big names. Primal Scream, Metronomy, and !!! all shared stages with the quartet, but it was Cut Copy‘s Dan Whitford who became so enamored that he went to work for them, producing last year’s single “Second Day Uptown”. From there, World’s End Press came to the attention of producer Tim Goldsworthy (LCD Soundsystem, Massive Attack), who helmed the band’s self-titled debut, out now via Liberation Music.
Now, fellow up-and-comers Factory Floor lend their support by remixing the album’s opening track, “To Send Our Love”. Everything from vocalist John Parkinson’s cadence to the circular, multi-layered rhythms scream DFA Records. At the same time, those hollow, popping beats are something the Blue Man Group would probably connect with, too. Take a listen below.
