The Dismemberment Plan are back with a new video in support of their long-awaited reunion album, Uncanney Valley. Seemingly inspired by Sega Genesis and bevy of hip sign language interpreters, the Washington, D.C. collective combine the two worlds to the sounds of the sugar-happy “Waiting”. It’s all 16-bit colors, emotional sign language, and goofy costumes here, the likes of which blend well with the song’s euphoric jubilance. Catch it below; shades optional.

Uncanney Valley is out now via Partisan. While you’re catching up on all things D-Plan, check out Senior Staff Writer Dan Caffrey’s new cover story on the band. Did you know Travis Morrison sings in his local church choir? No? Find out more now.
