You remember Dirty Projectors, right? It’s been a busy year of Arcade Fire, Kanye West, and Daft Punk, but surely you recall 2012’s excellent Swing Lo Magellan. Here’s something to literally jog your memory: Director Adam Newport-Berra’s new video for “Impregnable Question” follows his brother, Alex, through a long-distance run of America’s two greatest natural landscapes. For five days, those guy’s sneakers went through Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, likely before this past month’s government shutdown. Watch it below and feel all mushy about Forrest Gump again shortly after.
In related news, Projectors mastermind David Longstreth will perform next Friday, November 1st at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. He’ll be joined by The Calder Quartet, who will assist him in reproducing his own solo material, Dirty Projectors songs, and newer stuff that hasn’t been premiered yet. Classical enthusiasts will also be able to enjoy performances of Bartók Quartets 3 and 4. For more information, visit the museum’s official site.
