What’s a party without Beyoncé? Seems the Grammys know what’s up this year, as they’ve recently added the pop diva to an already star-studded list of performers. According to the LA Times, Queen Bey joins Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Daft Punk, Lorde, Kendrick Lamar, Katy Perry, and more for her first televised performance in support of her excellent, new self-titled album.
Grammys show producer Ken Ehrlich did not confirm Bey’s appearance, but he did not deny it either, saying, “Let’s put it this way…We have a really great history that goes back to the early days of Destiny’s Child”. He added, “She’s incredible. She is so into what it is that she does and making sure that everybody who sees her walks away saying ‘Wow'”.
Beyoncé and hubby Jay Z were nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for their Magna Carta…Holy Grail duet “Part II (On The Run)”. Beyoncé last performed at the 2010 Grammys, where she also took home a record-breaking six wins.
The 2014 Grammys take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 26th and will air on CBS.
