Listen: Timber Timbre’s woozy new song “Hot Dreams”

on January 28, 2014, 4:40pm

Canadian-based chamber-folk outfit Timber Timbre have revealed “Hot Dreams”, the first single off their forthcoming album of the same name.

A relaxed and yearning track, it highlights frontman Taylor Kirk’s pensive voice as it warbles amidst warm organ tones and a downbeat tempo. Saxophone virtuoso and Arcade Fire associate Colin Stetson guests on the song, wrapping the droopy guitars and Kirk’s sullen baritone in a smooth, jazzy blanket. Check out the track via its accompanying new music video. (Note: it’s set in a strip club and very NSFW).

Hot Dreams the album will hit stores April 1st via Arts & Crafts.

This is really disappointing. The musical direction is definitely not as interesting. And this video is awful.
