February 9th marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. The current occupant of the Ed Sullivan Theater, David Letterman, is celebrating with a week full of Beatles-inspired performances, kicking off last night with Broken Bells.

With a little help from Ring Starr himself, the duo of James Mercer and Danger Mouse covered The Beatles’ 1964 hit “And I Love Her”, off their fifth album, A Hard Day’s Night. Catch the replay below.

Letterman’s Beatles week continues with Sting tomorrow, Lenny Kravitz on Wednesday, and The Flaming Lips with Sean Lennon on Thursday. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are rumored to appear on Friday.
