Watch: London Grammar covers All Saints’ “Pure Shoes”

London Grammar’s pool of cover songs runs the musical gamut, and includes everything from Miley Cyrus’ pop smash “Wrecking Ball” to Kavinsky’s house anthem “Nightcall” to even the left-field rendition of Chris Isaak’s lusty “Wicked Game”. Today, they appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, where they unfurled a cover of UK girl group All Saints’ 2000 single “Pure Shoes”.

Drawn to its “trip-hop vibe”, the trio play up more of the original’s dream-pop rhythms and ambient elements, turning an unabashedly cheery track into something subtle and seductive. Catch the replay below.
