Last night, Arcade Fire kicked off the U.S. leg of their  world tour in support Reflektor with a performance at Louisville, KY’s hallowed KFC Yum! Center. Spanning 20 songs, the band’s setlist varied little from what they played in Australia last month, mixing Reflektor material with “Haiti”, “Rebellion (Lies)”, “Wake Up”, and several songs off 2010′s The Suburbs. The set opened with an acoustic rendition of “My Body Is a Cage” and also included a cover of The Rolling Stones’ “The Last Time”. (The original setlist on stage also included “Controversy”, possibly a Prince cover?, but wasn’t played.)

As ArcadeFireTube notes, Arcade Fire’s stage was donned with mirrors, reminiscent of Radiohead’s setup for The King of Limbs. The video screen in the backdrop also looks mighty impressive.

Here’s the full setlist:

My Body Is a Cage (Acoustic)
Flashbulb Eyes
Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
Joan of Arc
The Suburbs
The Suburbs (Continued)
Ready to Start
Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
Keep the Car Running
No Cars Go
It’s Never Over (Oh Orpheus)
Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)

Normal Person
Rebellion (Lies)
The Last Time (The Rolling Stones cover)
Here Comes the Night Time
Wake Up

They did “play” Controversy, and it was the Prince song. During the encore break, a “band” wearing their bobble head looking masks came out to the second stage at the back of the floor (there’s a smaller stage in the back where they play a couple of songs and where Kid Koala and Dan Deacon played from) and “played” Controversy. Wasn’t really them and there was a weird moment when AF came back out between them and that “band.” Fantastic show though. New stage is pretty sweet and the new album sounds killer live.
