Music’s royal couple will reportedly hit the stage together this summer for a massive stadium tour. According to The New York Post’s Page Six, Jay Z and Beyoncé have plans to embark on a 20-date co-headlining jaunt beginning in late June. Sure beats the Osmonds’ family tour, no?
Update:The Los Angeles Times has revealed more details. Dubbed the “Mr. and Mrs. Carter Tour”, the summer jaunt is expected to begin in June and run through early August. The first date will be in Atlanta on June 13th and dates are also planned in New York City for July 4th, Los Angeles for August 3rd, and San Francisco for August 6th. Afterward, they’ll embark on a European leg.
A formal announcement is still forthcoming, but Page Six was also the publication that first broke news of Jay Z and Justin Timberlake’s co-headlining stadium tour last summer.
Jay Z and Beyoncé have guested at each other’s shows on numerous occasions, but have never before co-headlined a concert. Both are supporting the release of new albums: Jay offered up Magna Carter Holy Grail last summer, while Queen Bey surprised us all with her self-titled fifth album late last December.
