After taking the winter off, UK-based music program Later… with Jools Holland returned earlier this month. While the past two episodes featured the likes of Eagulls, Neneh Cherry, and Elbow, Holland brought out the big guns for episode three. Damon Albarn, The Black Keys, and Coldplay all took the stage over the course of the evening.
Albarn supported the release of his debut solo album, Everyday Robots, with a rousing rendition of “Mr. Tembo”. Meanwhile, The Black Keys delivered their first live performance behind Turn Blue. They ripped through the album’s lead single “Fever” and also dusted off “Gold on the Ceiling” from 2012’s El Camino. Finally, Coldplay showcased “Magic” and “A Sky Full of Stars” from their forthcoming album, Ghost Stories.
Replay video of the various performances below. An extended episode, featuring more performances from all three bands, will air on the BBC on Friday.
