Bumbershoot reveals 2014 lineup

Bumbershoot has revealed its 2014 lineup. The Seattle-based music festival takes place Labor Day weekend (August 30th – September 1st) at the Seattle Center.

The lineup includes Wu-Tang Clan, The Replacements, Elvis Costello, The Afghan Whigs, Foster the People,  ScHoolboy Q, Mac DeMarco, Real Estate, Twin Shadow, Danny Brown, Mission of Burma, SZA, Poliça, The Both (Ted Leo and Aimee Mann), The Dismemberment Plan, Hurray for Riff Raff, Luscious Jackson, Big Freedia, and Pickwick.

Also playing are The Head and the Heart, Big Star’s Third, Los Lobos, Bootsy Collins, Red Fang, Nada Surf, Neon Trees, Reverend Horton Heat, Jonathan Richman, Kishi Bashi, Dream Syndicate, Julianna Barwick, Rose Windows, The Lonely Forest, Dude York, and  Architecture in Helsinki, among others.

Three-Day and VIP passes are now available through the festival’s website.

The Great Northleft ??? Well I guess in Seattle any arts event is going to be politicized. Shame.

pretty sure the great northleft is a blend of the terms “pacific northwest” and “left coast”, both commonly described as “great”. this isn’t a political event.
