With Lazaretto hitting shelves in less than two weeks, Jack White has been generously performing handfuls of new songs during his recently launched U.S. tour. Thus far, the setlists have included the album’s title track and “High Ball Stepper”, as well as a previously unheard cut called “Temporary Ground”.

The track — which first surfaced during the kick-off date of his Lazaretto tour last week (as part of a massive, career-spanning 25-song setlist, mind you) — sees White swapping mean guitar licks in favor of some pastoral twang. Below, watch him perform “Temporary Ground” and “High Ball Stepper” at Houston’s Free Press Summer Fest on Sunday (via Stereogum).

Lazaretto officially arrives on June 10th via Third Man Records. Pre-orders are ongoing.
