Even though he’s touring behind his debut solo album, Damon Albarn has still given the songs of Blur a rather healthy station in his various setlists. He performed “This is a Low” and “For Tomorrow” during an April visit to the BBC; sang “Parklife” inside a London pub; once more dusted off “This is a Low” for the Tonight Show; and he recently performed “Song 2″ solo for the first time ever.

During his Saturday headlining set at the UK’s Latitude Festival, Albarn went one step further, inviting his Blur bandmate Graham Coxon on-stage as a special guest. As DIY points out, Albarn began with a solo version of “End of a Century” before bringing out Coxon to perform “Tender”, since it would be “impossible” to perform the track without “the man I wrote it with”.

Blur last played together in 2013, when they made festival appearances at Belgium’s Rock Werchter, Spain and Portugal’s Primavera Sound Festival, and California’s Coachella. Albarn and Coxon also performed “Tender” during a July 2013 benefit for the Teenage Cancer Trust, where they were joined by Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller.

Coxon left the band in mid-2002, shortly before Blur began their half-decade hiatus. At the time, the relationship between Albarn and Coxon was said to be strained, though they mended fences when Blur reunited in 2009.
