Not since Ken Griffey Jr., Alex Rodriguez, and Edgar Martinez were lighting up pitchers in the 1990s has Seattle seen this much star power at its ballpark. Three generations of rock royalty, Jack WhiteEddie Vedder, and Paul Simon attended today’s Mariners-Rangers game at Safeco Field.

White just finished up a two-night residency at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre. During night two, he dedicated his performance of “Steady As She Goes” to Vedder, who was in attendance.

During his whirlwind tour, White has visited several different baseball stadiums, including Wrigley Field in Chicago, Comerica Park in Detroit, and Coors Field in Denver. He has yet to hit Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, and I can’t say I blame him.

The most astonishing thing about this photo is that it looks like Jack has a new haircut. Hey, looks pretty good.

Jack White doesn’t reply to his fan mail. I sure have lost my interest in him.

He also went to an A’s game in Oakland last weekend, and yes, he was wearing an A’s jersey.

During White’s show Saturday in SF he dedicated a song to the A’s, and he mentioned in an interview with Live 105 on Friday he wanted to go…

They should just quit watching these games and instead make a record already!

August 28, 2014 at 4:36 am

Yeah, they shouldn’t live at all, unless it’s to satisfy your needs. AND, perhaps you aren’t aware of recent releases.

Not to mention that White is wearing a Seattle jersey and Vedder a Detroit jersey.

I’d guess they traded jersey’s, or gave each other gifts, as Vedder is from Seattle and White form Detroit.

Vedder`s from Chicago.
