Need a date? Counting Crows’ Adam Duritz is on Tinder

on August 07, 2014, 6:02pm

A few years back, I stood mere feet behind Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz during a show at South By Southwest. Despite my unabashed excitement, I never mustered the courage to ask him about dating Courteney Cox or tell him how I still love “Mr. Jones” to this day. Fortunately, I may still have a chance to hook up with the singer. How, you ask? Because, like your roommate Todd, he’s got a Tinder account.

If you’re unfamiliar with the application (or haven’t been single since before Facebook was still the preferred method of courtship), it uses your phone’s GPS to match you with random, potential partners in your area. And, based on his profile (pic above), Duritz seems like he’d be quite the catch: Even at 50 he’s not completely succumbed to the rigors of rock; he’s got a good sense of humor with that video game crack; and his smirk seems to say, “Hey, I’m fun-loving and approachable, but no pressure.” If you’re actually paired with Duritz, please contact me posthaste.

If Duritz is out of your radius, you can always find another suitable rock star/musician with Band Dudes On Tinder. They’re not quite Duritz-level famous, but hey, even the dude in that terrible crust punk band needs somebody to love.

And just because…

Hat tip to Ryan for the tip…

Sebastian Thomson from Trans Am and Baroness also has a Tinder account. Now, that’s something to get excited about.

If I’m ever in New York, I will make a point to get a Tinder account. THANKS.

Lol, this makes me feel an odd sense of hope and makes being on Tinder seem way more legit.
