Jack White and Beck have forged quite the bromance as of late. First, Beck recorded and released a single through White’s Third Man Records, then White returned the favor by contributing a song to Song Reader. Last month, the two joined forces on stage in Providence, Rhode Island, and last night, White briefly covered Beck’s “Devil’s Haircut” during his show at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

Below, you can watch an extensive fan-shot video of last night’s set, featuring performances of “Lazaretto”, “Steady As She Goes”, and “Sixteen Saltines”. The Beck cover occurs around the 11:00 mark amidst “Sixteen Saltines”.

White previously covered “Devil’s Haircut” with The White Stripes. Below, see video of the band performing it back in 2003.

I was at the Saturday performance. Why was the sound so aweful?

I wish Jack Black would cover Beck’s “Hollywood Freaks”.

Uhhh, this is Jack White not Jack Black. The difference between the two is talent.

LOL… If you really are a true fan of Jack (White) you will know what you are talking about! I agree with you, Grumpy Jack. C’mon folks!

Jack also played bass on Beck’s “Go It Alone” and in the liner notes for The White Stripes’ Conquest EP it states that it was recorded in Beck’s living room. They go way back, this is a good thing.
