Nika Roza Danilova, aka Zola Jesus, will release her fifth studio album, Taiga, on October 7th via Mute. In anticipation, the album is streaming in full below (via NME).

Serving as the follow-up to 2011’s Conatus, the 11-track effort was written on Vashon Island, Washington and was mixed in Los Angeles by Dean Hurley (David Lynch, Sparklehorse).

In a press release, Danilova referred to the LP as her “true debut,” explaining that this is the “first time I have felt so open and liberated.” She added, “It represents a feral, untapped world that could happily exist without us. There are taiga forests in Northern Wisconsin where I was raised, and also in Russia where my ancestors are from, so it also feels very native.”

Taiga was preceded by the singles “Dangerous Days” and “Go (Blank Sea)”Pre-orders for the album are ongoing.
