Father John Misty sings about death and Go-Gurt on Brad Neely’s Harg Nallin’ Sclopio Peepio — watch

Father John Misty has proven over the course of two excellent albums that he’s the go-to guy for winking, smart-ass songs about American life. So when Adult Swim’s Brad Neely’s Harg Nallin’ Sclopio Peepio needed someone to sing about deaths in the U.S. (and Go-Gurt) there was really only one person they could call.

“This Is America” chronicles some exceptionally stupid ways to die, while always finding a way to shout-out America’s favorite(?) yogurt in a squeezable tube. Check it out up top.

FJM’s skit on the season finale of the show (which airs September 18th) isn’t the first time that Peepio has pulled in some major talent. They pulled Andre 3000 out of a deep cryogenic sleep in a cave underneath Atlanta’s Little Five Points to give the history of the world earlier this year.

Even when Neely can’t swing the actual voices of famous folks, he can still draw them. Take this bit explaining why Taylor Swift is a harbinger of the apocalypse.
