How to Dress Well unveils catchy new song “Can’t You Tell” — listen

on September 19, 2016, 3:00pm

Later this week, How to Dress Well will issue new album Care. His fourth full-length overall serves as the follow-up to 2014’s What Is This Heart? and has been described as “an intimate album that goes big, filled with stadium-sized choruses, rollicking guitar solos, vocal tenderness, and Celine Dion-inspired melodies.”

Thus far, Tom Krell has teased with a pair of offerings, last month’s “What’s Up” and lead single “Lost Youth/Lost You”. Now, he’s returned with “Can’t You Tell”, a catchy bit of ’80s-inspired R&B à la Dev Hynes and Carly Rae Jepsen. “It’s a consent-pop song — a sex-positivity anthem!” Krell wrote of the track on Twitter this afternoon.

Stream the studio version up above. Below, watch Krell perform “Can’t You Tell” in a live studio session for KCRW. Care officially arrives September 23rd via Weird World/Domino.
