Jason Narducy likes to keep real busy. So, when he’s not touring the world behind Bob Mould, he’s traditionally around Evanston, Illinois, where he carves out splendid alternative rock for his own outfit, Split Single. Or opens for Guided by Voices.

Now, he’s back for a follow-up to his project’s 2014 debut, Fragmented World. Due out November 18th, it’s called Metal Frames and finds Narducy once again alongside Mould drummer Jon Wurster, only this time he’s tagged Wilco bassist John Stirratt.

Our first crack of the whip is a new single “Leave My Mind”, which sounds like the singer-songwriter’s floating in balmy water and drowning in melodies. “Why won’t you leave me,” he asks. Because you’re too damn good, Narducy. Listen below.

Consult the full tracklist yonder and pre-order the album now. For those of you in the Chicagoland area, the band will perform at an album release party up at Evanston’s lovely SPACE on Saturday, November 19th. Get there.
