Every so often Lady Gaga reminds us just how dang talented she really is. Like the time she sang the hell out of the Sound of Music at the Academy Awards. Or the time she sang the hell out of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Or that other time where she delivered an emotionally charged rendition of “Till it Happens to You” surrounded by victims of sexual assault.
Gaga’s latest jaw-dropping performance came Monday during an appearance on the Howard Stern Show. After Stern mentioned that she was once in a Led Zeppelin cover band, Gaga burst into an impromptu a capella of Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog”.
If the rhythm section of Zeppelin is still open to the idea of reuniting sans Robert Plant, I think we’ve found the optimal replacement.
