Japandroids shred through new songs “Near to the Wild Heart of Life” and “No Known Drug or Drink” — watch

on October 12, 2016, 3:30pm

Japandroids’ mighty comeback tour has featured the debut of five brand new songs. We saw video of the two-piece thrashing through one of those, titled “Arc of Bar”, last week during the first of four shows at Vancouver’s Cobalt venue.

Now, fan-caught footage from their last night at the Cobalt this past Saturday has surfaced, and it captures Japandroids sweatily dishing out two more of those cuts, “Near to the Wild Heart of Life” and “No Known Drug or Drink”. From the looks of it, Brian King and David Prowse look pretty comfortable with the fresh material, aka they’re more than ready to rock every single one of our faces off. Here’s hoping this means a new album and more dates are coming soon; their last LP was 2012’s Celebration Rock.

Check out the videos below, followed by the band’s upcoming tour dates.
