Kate Bush unveils moving video for live version of “And Dream of Sheep” — watch

on November 21, 2016, 12:15pm

Last Friday, Kate Bush revealed a new version of “And Dream of Sheep”, taken from Break the Dawn, an upcoming album chronicling her first live performances in nearly 40 years. Bush recorded the reworked rendition at Pinewood Studios in England while floating in a water tank — an ambitious undertaking that was filmed for the track’s poignant new music video. According to Bush, the act of being in water was necessary for the authenticity of both the clip and song, which is about a woman lost at sea.

During filming, Bush contracted mild hypothermia but recovered after a day or so. The footage was later incorporated into her Break the Dawn concert residency at the Hammersmith Apollo in London in 2014.

In related news, Bush recently sat down with BBC Radio 6 host Matt Everitt for her first full interview in five years. She spoke about her relationship with Prince and her reputation as a recluse, among other topics.
