Donald Trump throws Twitter tantrum, calls Meryl Streep “one of the most overrated actresses in Hollywood”

on January 09, 2017, 8:40am

Just as the sun rises in the east, President-elect Donald Trump begins each morning by reading the country’s intelligence briefing while eating a bowl of fresh fruit. Oh, right, we’re talking about Donald Trump. Ok, let me try that again!

Just as the sun rises in the east, our thin-skinned man child of a swamp monster, Donald Trump, begins each morning by lobbing Twitter insults at American citizens while eating Pop-Tarts covered in jelly. As such, it should come as no surprise that the first thing Trump did today was respond to Meryl Streep’s speech at last night’s Golden Globes. In case you missed it, while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award, Streep chided Trump for inciting disrespect and violence. She made specific reference to his mocking of a disabled reporter. It was a totally sensible and reasonable dress-down that a mom would make to a misbehaving child.

Sadly, the message didn’t get through to Trump. This morning, he responded to Streep, a three-time Academy Award winner, by calling her “one of the most overrated actresses in Hollywood.” He also said Streep was a “flunky” for former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and maintained that he never mocked a disabled reporter (which is a lie).

Meanwhile, Trump’s equally dishonest and deplorable advisor, whose name I won’t even mention, questioned why Streep was “inciting people’s worst instincts.”

You really can’t make this shit up.
