Phantogram cover Radiohead’s “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi” for triple j’s Like a Version — watch

on January 13, 2017, 10:50am

Phantogram often are at their finest when dishing out explosive, synth-heavy tracks, such as “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” and one of my personal faves, 2010’s “When I’m Small”. However, the New York two-piece is also pretty well-equipped when it comes to more mellow, moodier undertakings.

Case in point: During a recent appearance on triple j’s Like a Version series, Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter unfurled a solid cover of the Radiohead cut “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi”. Barthel doesn’t have the same alien-like croon as Thom Yorke, still she managed to inject her own ghostly glow to the rendition.

Check out Phantogram’s cover up above. In related news, “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” recently received the remix treatment from A-Trak and Joey Purp, as you can hear below.
