Jesper Persson – Contributing Writer

Born in Sweden, Jesper not only destroyed his eyes by watching MTV at an early age (since 1991), but has also lived out the rock n’ roll dreams of his youth by rocking out in his living room with a vertical toilet roll holder as his trusted guitar. And to think, that was at the age of two. Since then, he has embraced his anthropomorphic alter ego, The Lemur, starting The Lemur Blog in April 2007.

As of 2009, this 18-year old music aficionado has fully developed into a sincere and passionate music blogger, seeing through the imagined walls of genres and focusing on the power and different purposes of music in all its forms.

He doesn’t usually pick and choose among so many great artists and bands, but just because, here’s a few of his favorites: The Knife, Röyksopp, The Field, Björk, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin, Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Ladyhawke, Animal Collective, Jamiroquai, Jens Lekman, Jonathan Johansson, Nordpolen… Just to name a few!
