Consequence of Sound is an independently owned and operated blog, recently featured in national publications (e.g., Comedy Central Insider, New York Magazine and MTV.com) as well as in major markets (e.g., Time Out Chicago and Austin360.com).

Since “seeking to cover the music world as it never has been covered before” requires a great deal of personal effort and finances, we are always looking for quality advertisers. We have purposely stayed away from the online brokers – and their “classified advertisement” approach – in order to maintain a clean and easy-to-read environment. Thus, we are looking for bands, promoters, labels and movies interested in primarily featured, independent advertisements.

Since CoS’ inception in September 2007, we have experienced tremendous growth in traffic – currently averaging 6,000 to 8,000 unique hits a day and more than 125,000 total hits a month. Based on this trend, these statistics will only increase in the future.

Just as important, early research has shown the majority of Consequence of Sound readers to be committed music fans and purchasers, concert attendees, under 30 years old, educated, and with significant discretionary income.
