As previously reported, Burial’s new EP, Kindred, is out this week via Hyperdub. To amplify the release, the London artist has issued a video for one of the three tracks, “Loner”. While not the most exciting visuals in the world, per se, the Miguel Bidarra & Inês Mendes-directed kaleidoscopic clip marries the music well. If you know someone with a projector, tell them to use this at their next party – or, just have a killer late night with the A/V club. Sigh, to be in college still. Check it out below (via Prefix).

Last week’s episode of IFC’s Portlandia taught us that Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein probably aren’t the most ideal movers around town. (In the hilarious sketch, they take months to move a woman’s personal belongings…with a bike.) Apparently Joanna Newsom didn’t read their Yelp review; otherwise, she wouldn’t trust Fred & Carrie with her harp. Come to think of it, this is likely what happened to the cast of Hair, once they turned 35 and bought hatchbacks and/or sedans. There are three things most viewers learned from Full House: For one, it’s totally understandable to drive a car through the dining room; two, Mike Love prefers vegetarian pizza; and three, John Stamos is an active member of the band. That last part is actually somewhat true since Stamos had been a part-time Beach Boy long before the show’s existence. Oh well.

Anyways, as Zap 2 It reports, Mike Love slipped a little news last night on the Grammys’ red carpet, where he insisted Uncle Jesse would be tagging along in the band’s forthcoming 50th anniversary festivities. “Ever since [Stamos] invited us on ‘Full House’ we’ve been recognized by being on that show from sea to shining sea,” Love stated. No word yet from Brian Wilson, but if we’re to consider his reaction during his past Full House appearance, he shouldn’t care too much – or at all.

Stamos was absent from their Grammy performance last night, though there wasn’t much room up there, what with Foster the People and Maroon 5 guesting. Check out the performance below (via The Audio Perv), and stay tuned as The Beach Boys’ 50th Celebration plans come to fruition.

If you couldn’t tell, February has been a solid month for Gorillaz – at least so far. They don’t have a new album to support (although, it never hurts to revisit 2010′s Plastic Beach), but they’re popping up in unlikely places: on vodka bottles, alongside James Murphy and Andre 3000, and on pairs of Converse.

The CW continues to nab more indie stars. Following on the vampire slaying set by My Morning Jacket, St. Vincent will brave the delectable mischief of one Chuck Bass, when she appears on Gossip Girl tonight in a very special Valentine’s Day-themed episode. Check out a sneak preview below, featuring a short snippet of the indie songstress performing “Cruel”, and stay tuned for full clips following the episode. We’re just hoping Annie helps Blair come to her senses – seriously!

Gossip Girl airs Mondays at 8/7 p.m. CT on The CW.

It’s been about four years since Portland’s own Chromatics dropped its last album, Night Drive, back in 2007. Now, as Gorilla vs Bear reports, the Johnny Jewel-featuring Italo Disco act may return Valentine’s Day with its follow up, Kill For Love, and to build on the previously released first single, “Kill For Love”, they’ve now issued a second: album opener “Into the Black”.  If that title rings a bell, it should; it’s a Neil Young cover, though with a psychedelic wash that makes it rather fitting for a Dario Argento scarefest. Check out a stream and download of the track below, including its spooky, melancholic Alberto Rossini-directed video shortly after. Keep your eyes open for the new, elusive LP, too.

If you’ve been at a loss for words while listening to Bruce Springsteen‘s latest single, “We Take Care of Our Own”, then you’ll want to watch its new video. In it, the song’s lyrics wash over sharp black and white shots of The Boss walking in what appears to be a meat packing plant. It’s sort of like those old Disney videos, only there’s no bouncing ball. Also, the ending slightly apes the Jeff Daniels TBS classic Pleasantville, specifically when Springsteen holds his hands up to the dawning light, naturally restoring all of life’s rich colors. Cynicism aside, it’s a classic Bruce video. Watch it below.

On April 17th, Spencer Krug returns with another album from Moonface, the follow-up to last year’s Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I’d Hoped. Titled Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravey, the 10-track effort is a collaboration with Finnish band Siinai, who previously toured with Wolf Parade in 2009 as Joensuu 1685.

Recorded in Finland, the album pits Krug behind the mic and keyboard, while Siinai performs “the meat of the music,” according to the album’s press release. If one couldn’t tell by the title already, the album revolves around – you guessed it – heartbreak. However, according to Krug, that wasn’t intentional, but rather something that occurred midway through writing the album.

Already we have a first listen off the album with the very upbeat yet lyrically doleful “Teary Eyes and Bloody Lips”, which you can stream below. Peep the full tracklist shortly after.

Portland’s The Dandy Warhols will follow up 2009′s The Dandy Warhols Are Sound with a new LP this April. Titled This Machine, the group’s ninth album has little to no details yet, but last year, amidst their Australian tour, they did debut two new songs: “Rest Your Head” and “The Wow Signal”. No word on whether or not either of those will be on the LP, but it’s a little slice of material to consider.

Meanwhile, fans can look forward to seeing them on tour this year; already, they’ve issued a slew of European dates that take up much of April. Nothing like an overseas vacay in the Spring, eh? “You Were The Last High”:

It’s been almost a year since The Kills released its fourth LP, Blood Pressures, but they’re still out there going strong. Case in point, last night they swung by New York’s Ed Sullivan Theater to appear on the Late Show with David Letterman, where they performed their latest single, “The Last Goodbye”. We’ve digressed not once but twice now on how Alison Mosshart brings the “sexy” to modern rock, so here’s a third time: If you’re not under her spell, consider yourself immune. Even with the fiery Nicholas Cage in tow and a Top List 10 by our Band of the Year, the Foo Fighters, we’re still spinning over Mosshart’s aura (and that hair!). As previously reported, The Kills’ latest single “The Last Goodbye” will be released in a four-track package on February 14th via Domino Records. Backing the single are a trio of previously revealed covers: The Velvet Underground’s “Pale Blue Eyes”, Patsy Cline’s “Crazy”, and Marilyn Monroe’s “One Silver Dollar”. The release will be available in standard formats, in addition to a limited edition 10? vinyl, which is available for pre-order right now.
