Harley Oliver Brown discovered a surprising, undeniable love of music in Minneapolis after graduating from Macalester College with a degree in fiction writing. Following stints at Minnesota Public Radio and promoting music to college radio, Harley left the land of Prince and Paul Westerberg to study music criticism at New York University. When she’s not making granola or taking the wrong subway line, Harley writes for Consequence of Sound and freelances for publications like Tandem Magazine, Reviler, and thecurrent.org.
