Katjusa Cisar
Katjusa Cisar lives in Monroe, Wis., where she is the cops, courts and county government reporter for the daily newspaper. She grew up in nearby Madison. Her first concert was The Rolling Stones, with Lenny Kravitz opening, in 1994 at Camp Randall Stadium -- a nearly wasted experience since her favorite music at the time was Ace of Base. In high school she begged a member of Reel Big Fish to autograph her arm with a Sharpie. In college she and a friend gave a bouquet of flowers and love note for the band to a hapless bouncer at a Ben Folds Five concert in Hamburg, Germany. Today she is no less enthusiastic (but slightly less dorky) about going to concerts and listening to music. She's written about a wide range of topics over the years for The Awl, the A.V. Club, Free Speech Radio News and local/regional media outlets in Madison, Chicago and Atlanta.
