A little about me:

Between working at WUVT, Va Tech's student radio (www.wuvt.vt.edu) as a disc jockey, station librarian, producer, jazz director and advisor, and at CoS, as senior staff writer and director of Audiography, I am ensconced in music like Constanza in velvet.

The dream - to turn it all into an actual gig

Though I love music there are three songs that I do not like, correction, hate -

1) America - "A Horse With No Name"

2) Arlo Guthrie - "Alice's Restaurant"

3) I leave three blank, because it's out there, waiting, but it's probably a Bad Company song

My first cassette was Joan Jett and the Blackhearts I Love Rock & Roll

My first vinyl was the soundtrack to the film Heavy Metal

I have no first cd - rather, I took BMG and Columbia House for all they were worth

My first concert - INXS Kick with Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers opening

I discovered Jazz thru the Dead

I do believe that most band's earlier shit was better

I believe that if a punk band is around long enough it becomes a rock band

I went to Lollapalooza 1

And I have seen all six Star Wars films in the theater on their initial runs and

Am I the only person who understood what Dave Grohl was saying in his Grammy Acceptance speech and it wasn't about hating on electronic music?
