   U2’s appearance at Invesco Field at Mile High on June 12 will be the biggest single-band concert in Colorado this year, but the third annual Mile High Music Festival will likely draw more people. The event will take over the fields surrounding Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City on Aug. 14-15, organizers told The Denver Post. Moving the festival from July to August has multiple benefits, according to promoter Chuck Morris.

   “It won’t be as hot in August,” Morris, president of AEG Live Rocky Mountains, predicted. “And we’re also a week after Lollapalooza, which will help with the routing of some of these bands.”

   Morris’ team is busy booking, but he’s not announcing any acts until his initial artist announcement, due in early March.

    Don’t get too freaked out if you haven’t heard a line-up from Ultra. I love the fest but they are incredibly unorganized. You don’t even get a schedule until you arrive through the gates.

    Hip hop group De La Soul are among the first names announced for Snowbombing 2010.

    The rappers will be joined by Editors, Doves, The Enemy and Friendly Fires as the first acts set to play live are confirmed by organisers.

    Vitalic, Adam Beyer, Andy C and MC GQ, Scratch Perverts and James Zabiela are also set to perform alongside the likes of Slam, Fake Blood, Brodinski, Skream, Stanton Warriors and Plump DJs.

    Other names announced include Krafty Kuts, Subfocus, DJ Yoda, Mistajam, Skepta, Jack Beats, Riva Starr, Alix Perez, Tayo, Todd Terje, Kris Menace and more.

    As usual, the Cuban Brothers will be making their way out to the Austrian event along with Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip.

    Snowbombing 2010 will take place at Mayrohfen, Austria from 5-10 April.

This greatest hits record — that’s the end of something, you know. It’s time to move on into this next chapter or another phase. Maybe it will be different in whatever way. I don’t know.

    But to be honest, we put our hearts and a lot of thought into what we do, but never so much that anything feels overly calculated or choreographed. It’s nice to not know what’s going to happen next. We’re going over to do some shows in Europe (this week), but after that, it’s like I don’t even know when I’m going to see these guys. So it’s kind of weird.

    Alex, where are you hearing those rumblings? The main producer of the fest has moved to Athens and many of his friends are straight shooting it down…….

    I wouldn’t be surprised to see “Landerado”, but I will be surprised to see anywhere near South Florida.
