   Anti-Flag is touring with Rage Against the Machine this year, could Rage be at Bumbershoot?

   Massive rumor alert!: Rock the Bells to headline Bumbershoot?
   Ok, so it’s a massive rumor and I’m starting it here, but it’s completely plausible.

   This year’s annual Rock the Bells tour, which last year featured Rage Against the Machine, will include: A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Mos Def, De La Soul, Rakim, Pharcyde, Method Man, Redman, Raekwon, Immortal Technique, Dead Prez, Spank Rock, Santogold, Jay Electronica and Murs.

   The festival’s tour ends Aug. 30 in Vancouver, B.C.

   Could a Bumbershoot main stage spot be an unannounced destination for the whole festival? If not the whole thing, what about a few of the headliners? It’s quite an awesome slew of hip-hop heavyweights and a lot of them have been on the Bumbershoot main stage before.

   Just a thought …

   I haven’t sent out an email to Bumbershoot planners yet to give the a chance to confirm or deny or give a “no comment” about this rumor, but I likely will later today. Besides, it’s way more fun to just leave it out there in cyberspace for a little while for all to see and digest.

   Now that all of that has been said, what do you think?

   It’s possible - there’s no real standotu for a third headliner, and usually KUBE or another station that plays similar music sponsors one night of the mainstage (with the End/KEXP taking a night and then probably KISS having a night, I think that’s how it went last year)

   The new news is that Rage Against the Machine and Prince will be added to the line-up. Hell of a festival thus far.

    Was looking at the lineup, and noticed that T.I. and Stone Temple Pilots are playing on the same day, 2 of the biggest names on the lineup. Could this mean that they are abandoning the whole Radio-Station-a-Day plan for mainstage that they have done the past few years? I find it highly unlikely that The End, KISS, or KUBE would have both of these acts playing mainstage for their planned day. Maybe not though.
    …Just an observation
