i hope the bad one you’re talking about is Robyn and not weezer…cuz weezer rules and robyn’s covers of cobrastyle and message in a bottle have made me hate her, also last years was just as good as the first annual la detour, you mustve missed out on some good stuff last year

ok last years detour was really good but not better then the first……nothing on last years detour can top basement jacks……nothin……..bloc party was dope and all………ed banger crew was horible….bunch of no dj talent mathafuckers……and justice if it wasnt for there tracks they produced they would have been the worst act in history…not even a stage…just a fukin table………..anyways i still enjoyed it…..please god please let there be crystal castles this year at night ofcorse…………..

i met Datarock at Download Festival and they said the next time will be LA Detour…so i think that shud be a confirmation lol
Shouldn’t The Mars Volta be listed under the rumors? They’ve been talked about quite a bit in regards to possible lineups, which stems from the fact that they’re in San Diego the Thursday before, with no L.A. dates. And Mars Volta fans all know how much they play L.A. compared to anywhere else, so it would make sense; furthermore, the band is based in L.A. as most band members are residents, (Omar in fact moved to Brooklyn recently). Not quite a “local” band, but still.

LA deserves a local fest on par with Street Scene and Treasure Island, but won’t be getting one if The Mars Volta and punk novelty bands are the names being most commonly thrown around.
Hey now I’m sorry guys… I truly understand if you’re not a fan, they are not for everyone… but it’s not like you have to hang around their stage, AND it’s not like they are headlining material. Granted they probably have the fame-level of last year’s headliners but they really cannot headline a local street festival sheerly for the strangeness of their music. So there is nothing really to worry about for any of us!
